The São Paulo program unfolds in three acts, each anchored by a guiding inquiry that gathers a constellation of scholars and practitioners. Together, they share keynotes, presentations, and conversations shaped as choreographies of thought and relation guided by the values of purposeful connection and actionable discourse.
This encontro takes place at Teatro Oficina, a cultural landmark founded in 1958 in São Paulo’s Bela Vista neighborhood. Known for its legacy in experimental theatre and performance-based art, Teatro Oficina’s architecture was conceived to collaborate with the events it hosts amplifying their revolutionary potential and the shared experience of transformation.
For this special occasion, Lumack Studio embraced this ethos, crafting an environment that honors the theatre’s performative nature while extending its dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Every detail was considered, from food choices, seating support, materials, stage design, lighting, and sound, to the subtle rhythms that compose this singular encounter.
The design introduces a new outdoor area and a stairway linking Teatro Oficina to Bixiga Park, celebrating the continuity between theatre and city, inside and outside, performance and everyday life. Alongside specially crafted catering and spatial interventions that invite connection, the setting becomes a living choreography of bodies, materials, and ideas.
In São Paulo, Re:arch emerges not simply as a symposium, but as an act of collective design, a temporary ecosystem where architecture, dialogue, and care converge in pursuit of planetary well-being.
